Scout Master - Chris Sjolander

Hello, my name is Chris Sjolander (Show – lander), and I’m the Scoutmaster of Troop 529.  I’ve been involved in scouting since 2013, with my son, Nikolai.  I was an Assistant Den Leader in Pack 505, and was also on the Troop 529 Committee before being asked to serve in this capacity.
In my time with Troop 529, I’ve found a troop with a group of leaders that have a wealth of scouting experience.  We have several boys who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and another handful on the journey from Life to Eagle Scout.   Beyond that, we have a very active bunch of younger scouts.

Professionally, I am an engineering teacher at Wando High School.  Prior to that I was an Automotive Engineering at Ford Motor Company.  I enjoy boating, camping/outdoor activities, and traveling.
